Welcome to the Harrisville Fire District. It
is our mission to provide exceptional public safety to the people and property within our community and to the needs of our citizens by providing rapid, professional, humanitarian
services essential to their health.
The Harrisville Fire Department proudly serves the historic villages of
Harrisville and a portion of Glendale in northwest Rhode Island. Its mission is to provide the highest standards of emergency services to all in need and
continue our partnership with the community by remaining "Loyal to our Duty." The Fire Department is currently composed of a Fire Chief and eight
full time EMT/firefighters. It also has approximately 40 volunteer firefighters, 22 of whom are EMTs, as well as 2 junior firefighters (ages 16-18).
The Harrisville Hose Company is the social aspect of the Fire Department.
The Hose Company was organized in February of 1912 as a firefighting organization. Today the company supports various community activities
within the Town of Burrillville and the village of Harrisville.

as a firefighting organization. Today the company supports various community activities within the Town of Burrillville and the village of Harrisville.
